Legion

Social-first campaign bringing the twisted, surreal world of Legion Season 2 to fans' feeds: Clio Silver winner.

The challenge

FX’s Legion follows David Haller, a character whose reality is shaped by fractured perception and psychological instability. For Season 2, the challenge was to translate the show’s complex narrative and surreal visual language into a social-first campaign that could engage fans, reflect the series’ distinctive tone, and stand out in a crowded entertainment landscape.

The process

I partnered closely with marketing and content teams to develop platform-native social creative that brought Season 2’s themes, storytelling, and visual motifs to life. The work focused on crafting visually striking assets that captured the psychological depth and abstract aesthetic of the series while interpreting and extending the series' established creative direction across social formats.

I designed modular templates for scalable use across Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and additional platforms, ensuring flexibility without sacrificing consistency. Collaboration across teams helped align visuals with messaging, cadence, and engagement goals while maintaining a cohesive tone across all executions.

The outcome

  • Delivered a visually immersive social campaign that translated Legion's surreal aesthetic into scalable, platform-native content across Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook

  • Earned a Clio Silver Award (Social Campaign, 2018)

Legion's whole premise is that reality bends depending on whose head you're in; flattening that into clean, scrollable content would have missed the point entirely. The job wasn't to make it legible, it was to keep it strange enough to still feel like Legion while still stopping the scroll.
